What We Believe: Our Statement of faith
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God,
and is the final authority for faith and practice.
We believe that there is one God,
eternally existent in three equal persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit
We believe that Jesus Christ pre-existed eternally with the Father.
He is God-incarnate, divinity manifest in human flesh,
fully divine and fully human, but absolutely sinless.
He was conceived by the Holy Spirit’s power, born of the Virgin Mary,
Proclaimed the gospel,
Suffered and died to save people from their sin,
Rose from the dead triumphing over sin and death,
Returned to heaven and one day He will return.
We believe in the Holy Spirit, God working in the world today,
Convicting people of sin, bringing them to salvation,
Working in the lives of those who believe in Christ,
Spurring them to godliness, and
Empowering God’s people in ministry to the world.
We believe that humans, though created in God’s image, are fallen
and that all have sinned,
and suffer broken relationships with God, others, and self.
We believe that all face judgment and damnation if they reject Christ.
We believe that people are saved only by grace,
God’s free gift to all who believe in His Son Jesus,
and accept Him as the Lord of their lives.
We believe that salvation in Christ restores the equality and essential dignity
of men and women of all races, ages, and classes,
and that all who believe in Christ are called to image that equality
in the Church, in the home, and in society.
We believe that celibate singleness and faithful heterosexual marriage
constitute God’s design for human sexuality.
We believe in the local church,
consisting of a company of believers in Jesus Christ,
where the Word of God is preached,
where baptism and the Lord’s Supper are administered,
where believers are discipled and disciplined, and
where believers serve to build up one another.
We believe mandated by the Bible, the Church of Christ is called
to spread the word that Jesus is Lord,
to share His love and care with people in need, and
to work for justice for all.
What We Are Here To Do: Our Mission
We exist to worship and glorify God—the Father, the Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit. We are called to proclaim God’s Word faithfully, provide pastoral care to people, and introduce people to Jesus as the only Saviour and the Lord of all
